The successful run of LeapForWord's pilot project in BMC schools in Academic Year 09-10, has encouraged us to dream even bigger. In Academic Year 10-11, LeapForWord is undertaking 3 new initiatives in addition to continuing with all previous engagements.
1) LeapForWord is reaching out to 5 new BMC schools covering 480 additional BMC students. In all these schools LeapForWord is following Train the Teacher Model. While BMC teachers will teach the students, LeapForWord will provide support by way of training the BMC teachers in content delivery, providing books to students, assessing the achievement of learning objectives and overall monitoring of the execution of the project. 2) In Shirpur, LeapForWord is collaborating with local schools to address the needs of more students. 3) LeapForWord is partnering with other Non Profit Organisations (NPOs) to reach out to more students.
Till date LeapForWord has reached 1100 odd individuals. We want to extend this change much beyond the numbers we have reached till date.
